Our preschool teacher has asked us to record ideas on "Who is the child?" for an early learning workshop.

Who is the child?

I am growing up. I am full of contradictions.

I want you to hold my hand be my guide. I want to do it my way.
I want you to tell me what to do. I want to be in control.
I want rules and structure. I want to feel freedom.
I really need my special person by my side. I want to prove I can go it alone.
I want to be taken seriously. I want to be silly.
Sometimes I am 2 years old. Sometimes I am 10.

I could reach the stars, if only you would pull them down for me.
